EARN WHILE YOU LEARN

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

o   Life Skills
  • PISB will provide you with life skills training that will prepare you for success in the program and in your life.  Over a 4 week program, PISB will train you in the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace.  This will include identifying your strengths, opportunities for improvement and methods to achieve success.  Included in this training will be fundamental learning skills including GED preparation if needed.  Tutors, trainers and daily support are features of this training.  You will receive a stipend to help with expenses while actively participating in the training.
 o   Paid Internship
  • After successfully completing the 4 week Life Skills training, you will be eligible for a paid internship.  As part of the PISB program, you will work learning computer related skills that will prepare you to either work in computer related jobs, or apply those skills to be more valuable in other industries.
o   Paid training
  • After successfully completing your internship, you will be eligible to participate in additional training.   While receiving this training, you will qualify to  participate in the paid pre-apprenticeship and on the job training
