3. When you join the Scavenger hunt you tap the screen.
That takes you to the event with information with an overview, information on upcoming events and how to play the game. The scavenger hunt following the clues to go from place to place is fun, but the real fun is how you choose to share with, compete with and play with your friends and family. In our test, one family hid painted rocks at the locations for their kids to find. Another group of friends competed to see who got the most points for answering questions. And still another challenged their friends to add additional information that had not been listed.
4. You'll note that there are 4 buttons providing more functionality.
The check in button lets your friends and family know that you are playing the game and can join in the fun. The Maps button can show you the area and highlight some great local businesses and places you might never have known existed. The review button not only let's you write a review and rank the place you've visited so your friends and family know what to check out and what to avoid, but it also lets you take pictures or select one from your phone and post them to your post them for your friends to see. And our favorite (or at least my favorite) is the share button letting you use messaging, email, group me ... or any app you and your friends like to use. |
5. When you tap the explore button you will see the 5 locations. Tap the E and information about the location pops up on your screen. Race ( ok to run, but if driving, drive carefully) to the next stop. No particular order, you choose the most efficient route. When you draw near, your clues will pop up on your phone. And you can even keep score. |
6. Note the buttons at the bottom of the screen
The home button will take you to the main screen where you can see the many places to explore in our community. It shows you whats nearby, retail shops, places to eat, trails to explore and more. The book icon is the activities journal. Our most popular (or at least my favorite) place on the app is this spot because this is where you share your experience with friends and family. Here's where friends and family can see where you are, what you're up to and you can privately share selfies, images, comments and more. Tap the messages button to start the conversation and tap the search button to find your friends. |
That's the overview. So let the games begin! |
