Sons and Daughters of Destiny and Purpose
Exercise Your Power of Choice ... Chart your Destiny!
Daughters of Destiny was born from the desire of one woman, Perl Blake, who wanted to take a "strong message" of abstinence as a choice to a group of teens: "young women." Because of her belief in the Bible, and the need for young women to be able to apply the messages, she piloted a program, using the A.C. Green Game Plan, and later added The Navigator, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens and The Respect Programs- What do you Stand For, to "reach and teach" precious young girls, empowering them with the effective tools needed to forge self-esteem, develop positive attitudes, and set career goals by utilizing an alternative perspective regarding sexuality-abstain until marriage. Since the initial pilot program in 2002 with a small number of girls participating, the program has grown to include young men as well as young ladies and has 11 dedicated facilitators.
The program's main criteria is Character Development. Many other components are built into the program including building self-esteem, self-worth, responsibility, accountability, respect for self and others, anger management, help develop positive attitudes, goal setting, boundaries and much more. This is the first year for the Ambassador Boys Trade Skills Boot Camp and they will work on many more projects with their facilitator's guideance.
