At Project Impact we know that families are the foundation of strong communities, and that love is the cornerstone of a healthy family. Established in 2006, and based in South Bend, Indiana, Project Impact South Bend concentrates on identifying and marriage and parenting coaching and counseling,
Pastor Hardie and Sister Perl help couples understand how to show the kind of love and respect that builds lasting marriages, respectful children and supportive extended family members. We provide training, counseling and education services in the areas of personal growth, health and economic development for the entire family through direct programming and selective collaborations. Program offerings continue, helping the family with youth development through our Sons and Daughters of Destiny programs and connecting the family to needed health care resources through health care assistance. Our Men and Women of Scars Programs assist ex-offenders while our economic development programs assist with financial planning, job readiness, access to capital and more. On 11/2/2017 the City of South Bend kicked off its Inclusive Economy initiative at the Charles Martin Center. There, a report by Dr. Muhammad and Prosperity Now, shared information on the wealth gap in the South Bend Community. In that report, to no surprise, African Americans fared the worst. Many questions were raised, but only one matters. What are we doing about it?
